It must be a week for 70’s songs. Today’s Soundtrack? Eric Clapton’s “Let It Rain”. Yes, the song is a metaphor for love and we’re talking literal rain here today, but a good song nonetheless. I usually gravitate toward natural habitats when we go out and play in the rain, but today we stopped by a new (to us) playground that is covered in ride on toys and the boys loved it. We also happened to have sidewalk chalk in the car, so we did some drawing and played a game where I wrote a word and my son would read it and then do what I wrote. For example: dig, jump, hop, ride, pedal, etc. The best games are the ones you make up on the fly!
That is so cute !
I love you pics and am enjoying following your adventures. Can I ask about your rain gear – are those dungarees? I am currently pricing around for a new set for my class.
They’re rain pants from Polarn O. Pyret. We rotate what jackets we wear based on the cold factor. And it’s getting colder now!
Like I and Courtney said before, we love our splash pants it is the best invention ever, and I think everyone should have at least one pair.
I finally bought some rain pants for myself this season 🙂
I have shell pants, I can use them for rainy day but also for skiing and snow fun. But , they are black and they do tend to not be in the house. Meaning my partner keeps taking them for work.
Pants are great for mammas too, I know Kristen (Burlington Outdoor Kids) bought rain gear pants and jacket (kind of like PO.P style) and she was very happy !
Kari, I know how that goes- I used to steal my husband’s pants, so I finally got my own 🙂 I have insulated ski pants because I always want to be as warm as can be!
