On Wednesday we had a wonderful spring day here in Toronto. When we visited The Beach Outdoor Playgroup, the sunshine and warm weather made a perfect day for a picnic and our snack was easy to make quesadillas.
We use tortilla for cooking with the kids a lot a home. They are really quite versatile and are useful in many recipes. This time we used cookie cutters to add a little extra fun to our quesadilla.
You need:
Cookie cutters
Cream cheese
Ham
Sundried tomatoes
Chives, herbs
This is how you do it:
Spread cream cheese, ham and any other toppings to one tortilla and place another tortilla on top. Use a cookie cutter to cut out different shapes. After the kids have fun creating different shapes, fry the different shapes in a pan with some cooking oil. I like to use grapeseed oil for frying. These little quesadillas make the perfect snack for when you head out to the park for some fun play and picnic time.
