There is nothing wrong with cultivated blueberries, but nothing beats the taste and color of blueberries picked wild in the bush. I still remember the days my parents took me blueberry picking as a child. Now I bring my children to the forest to pick the same low bush blueberries that I picked as a kid.
Now if you have not had the chance to pick blueberries in the wild, visit your local farmers market and buy some of natures wonders filled with vitamins A, C and E, calcium, magnesium and antioxidants; wild blueberry season is right now.

There are many ways to cook blueberries. For me, simple is often best and little hands are your best helpers. And for me it doesn’t matter where they were picked, the smell of fresh blueberry crepes brings me back to my cabin in the forest.
Crepes with blueberries
4 eggs
3 dl flour
1/2 ts salt
2 cups (5 dl) of milk
3 dl blueberries
3 tbs of sugar
1 tbs of butter
This is how you do it:
Mix eggs, flour and salt and stir in milk. Stir well and make sure it does not have any lumps. Let stand for 15 minutes.
Have a little bit butter in the pan for frying your crepes on high heat.
Stir blueberries and sugar together and serve with crepes.
