Toronto seems to have been blessed with an early spring this year and I am finding myself in a real biking mood. I love biking, both as a way to get from A to B and just for the pure enjoyment.
I always have owned a bike of some kind and use it to go everywhere. There must be something about the feeling of fresh air in my face that gives me such a feeling of freedom.
Now I have a baby a bit too young for getting on the bike. I can‘t wait to get back on the saddle again. I‘m also looking into different options for baby and me. My old bike, that I loved so much I put way more money in parts and labor than it was worth- the days are numbered. I am starting to look for a new bike.
Believe me, there are a lot of choices. I would like to share with you some of the options that I have found interesting. This Friday I‘m staring with cargo bikes, next week it will be bike trailers.
If you ever have been to Copenhagen or Amsterdam you might have noticed their cool cargo bikes. I have to say I have always dreamed of getting one. It can be used to carry your kids and/or all you gear. Here are some of my favorites.
Winther Kangaroo Bike this adult tricycle is made in Denmark. Nestled between the two front wheels is a roomy, covered cabin that fits two kids up to about six-years-old. It is definitely not for everyone with a price tag $3,899. But, we are allowed to dream, aren‘t we?
I have not yet tested this bike, but Yoyo mama in Vancouver has. Read her review here.
Zigo bike Another option out there is the Zigo bike that can be used in many different ways; as a cargo bike with two kids, a regular bike and a regular stroller. It also looks small and compact.

Madsen bike cargo bike with its big bucket looks very chique with its clean design. It can be used as transport for your groceries and to carry your kids. I‘m drooling and I‘m seriously thinking about buying this bike. There is just one thing, what is this bike going to be like in the hills of my neighborhood?
